Uh oh.

I’ve just discovered Oreos are vegan in Malaysia.

The bag lady

Yesterday afternoon I decided I’d throw sewing caution to the wind and make myself a top. Without a pattern. Several hours later I was sitting on the couch with my unpicker vowing to never throw sewing caution to the wind again.
As I was mumbling and muttering about my own stupidity in thinking I could sew [...]

I have finished the Amy Butler oversized laundry bag!

(Sans canvas reinforcing and interfacing cause I couldn’t be bothered. What’s that saying about starting with good habits….?)

This was taken at about 5pm on Friday, from the middle of a street I was attempting to cross at a busy intersection:

See the yellow line to the left? That designates a square in the center of the intersection that is supposed to be left free so traffic coming in the other direction can get [...]

Saturday morning desserts.

Coconut rice pudding:

My make-it-up-as-you-go strategy for using up left over rice. This is made with brown rice, which I prefer cause it gives a nice chewy texture and holds its shape, but white is good too. Also has coconut milk, sugar and cinnamon (in whatever quantities you feel appropriate). Yum.

These brownies are devine. And totally [...]

I discovered there are in fact two main varieties of dragonfruit this morning when I cut into one for breakfast – the pinkish red one shown in an earlier post and this one:

Turns out it is slightly less sweet and has a particular sort of taste about it – tangy yet bland and kind of [...]
